About This Project

Prior to this project, Microsoft used Survey Monkey for company-wide surveys and edX. At 100,000 users per month and $1 per survey, this in-house solution saves them more than $1.2 million each year.

My goal was to create a customizable survey platform that fit the Microsoft brand and could be used for developer audiences across Microsoft and edX. This platform has now been used by millions of people over the past few years.

While collaborating closely with a backend engineer, I designed the UI and UX for the survey interface and wrote the HTML and CSS by hand to make it as lightweight as possible.
