About This Project

PicPlayPost is a popular photo collage app on the Apple, Android, and Windows app stores. After Microsoft released the Universal Windows Platform, Mixcord asked for a Windows 10 redesign of their Windows 8 app. I redesigned the app to follow both the PicPlayPost style guide and Windows 10 best design practices and wrote the XAML for the front-end.

To jumpstart the design process, I ran the imported Windows 8 code on a Surface Pro 3 and used the Surface pen to annotate the design changes needed for each screen.

The Windows 10 version of PicPlayPost supports slideshows, photos, video, and animated gifs for each frame of a collage. The app runs on mobile, tablet, and desktop devices.
